Rayovac Announces First Industrial Distributor Award Recipient

Madison, WIS., October 1, 2010 -- In recognition of the important role distributors play in the industrial marketplace, Rayovac has named ORS Nasco the first-ever recipient of the Rayovac Industrial Distributor Award. The achievement award recognizes ORS Nasco’s exemplary performance in sales and distribution of Rayovac batteries and lights for the quarter ending September 30, 2010.

 

This new quarterly award enables Rayovac to honor distributors for a variety of achievements including sales volume, joint marketing efforts and outstanding performance. 

 

As the inaugural winner of the Rayovac Industrial Distributor Award, ORS Nasco has demonstrated an impressive 35% first-quarter growth across the full line of Rayovac products they carry including various lighting devices and batteries.  ORS Nasco’s strategic decision to spotlight the light category has resulted in a notable 46% increase in light sales over last year.

 

 A strategic partnership with Linedrive has enabled ORS Nasco to significantly increase Rayovac catalog offerings. ORS Nasco added more than 20 SKUs including the Rayovac RoughNeck lights product line as well as several products in the coin cell category.  Creative and effective joint marketing initiatives have included the development of quarterly tabloids targeting industrial professionals.
